Caution-my new D&D slip on megs will not support the use of my centerstand. They are really well made and have a nice loud sound BUT there is no provision for the stock Triumph centerstand (cost$200) unless I am missing something. Right now I am out the cost of the centerstand (unusable) or the cost of the pipes which is approx $600 total. The centerstand (w/o modifications) will be up into your chain on one side and into the pipe on the other side-not good and a definite bad deal from D&D for not advertising as such or at least telling customers they could get killed- do they not look at these things and test them before they sell them? A very dangerous oversight in my opinion and buyer beware of aftermarket parts as usual "NOTHIN FITS NOTHIN"!!!

D'OH!

I just bought a center-stand for my D&D equipped Bonnie'!

Looks like I'll be going to Sears to look at their $99.00 lift as pictured on the site here...... and looking for a buyer of my (as yet undelivered) center-stand.

ummmm....I have a Bonnie with both the center stand and D&D Pipes. My stand rests on the underside of the pipes when it's up. I've gone 10,000 miles like this with absolutely no problems. It's not the end of the world...yet.

I have the same installed set-up on my 2001 (both used pipes and centre stand purchased from forum members), and only had to modify the centre stand slightly to get this combination to work.

I drilled a small hole in the centre stand, tapped it and added a small thin plastic stop (about 1/4" thick"), to stop the centre stand from hitting the LH side pipe.

regards...Greg

No problems with clearance on any other components.

My solution was with a piece of black leather from an old belt and some high temp silicone adhesive. I found where the centerstand contacted the pipe, put the silicone on the centerstand at that location, added the piece of black leather, and let it sit with the spring pressure against the pipe overnight.
Works like a charm!!

I have both on my 05 T100 and they fit perfectly. I too however had to put on a heat resistent buffer between the stand and the D&D pipe.
