Just ordered the BellaCorse teardrop mufflers...should be here on Friday...

Anyone have any tips on replacing the mufflers on the Bonnie?

Looks very straightforward, just wanted to avoid any pitfalls...

Thanks,

Frank

Frank, it is straight forward. While you are installing, loosely bolt everything and tighten down when everything is assembled. Don't for get to use high temp silicone to seal all of the joints.

How do you like the sounds of your new mufflers? What were you running before, and how do the Bellcorses compare? Thanks.

Just read the illustrated instructions first and you'll have no problems. And as Carl suggests, get some high temp silicone sealant. Call me if you have questions.

Armybonnie, use high temperature RED silicone. Autozone carries it.

how does it sound? I'm thinking of getting it.
How hard or easy was the setup?

Measure where your exhaust tips end up relative to each other. They don't just end up perfectly matched and aligned...you have to put them in the right place. Also, I found the provided jets to be just a little rich. I wound up using #125s instead of the provided #128s. I also found that the pilot jets can stand to go up to a #42. These pipes sound fantastic, albeit a bit loud. I use the stock airbox with a N-H bellmouth. If you go with a NARK, it will be louder still.
