is a t100 too much bike for a woman getting back into riding after going years w/out a bike? (used to have a rebel 250 -- loved it) I am 5'4, not heavy. Any other 5'4-ish riders out there?

(I think the tangerine/white is total girls bike.)

Try it on for size. As long as you have a license your dealer should let you take a test ride.

I went from a Rebel 250 to the Bonnie Black just fine. You'll love it! (I'm also a woman, 5'7" 125lbs.) Besides, do you want a bike that's considered a "girls bike" anyway?

Good luck and have fun! :chug:

It's true, ponycorn is an actual girl. Trust her opinion!

thanks all -- another question tho:

did the 2004 come in the cool tangerine/white color scheme too? or is it just for 2005?

First off, I think it's a great scheme... still love my red/grey though... but that's gotta hurt you tang owners.......

Oh yeah, take the MSF course if it's been way long since you've rode. You don't want to remember old bad habits, and you can usually waive the DMV test after passing the course test.

I don't see why you shouldn't get on fine with a Bonneville. The seat height is relatively low when compared to a lot of modern bikes (apart from Harley style cruisers) and it's easy to ride. I'm only a couple of inches taller than you but only have a 29" inside leg and can put my feet reasonably flat on the ground.

As a masculine owner of a white and tangerine T100 I'll overlook your statement regarding it being "a total girls bike" as you're new here but I suggest you don't repeat it!

The white/tangerine colour scheme was introduced for the 2005 model year which means the earliest ones available will have been released in September 2004. This colour scheme is carried over for the 2006 model year. The black and white has been dropped for 2006. In addition to the white/tangerine, black with a red flash and silver coach stripe is available for 2006 (saw a couple at the factory today - nicer than the old black/white in my opinion but I'll stick with what I've got already). There is also a yellow/gold version for 2006 - I've only seen it in photos so far but in my opinion it looks horrible.

Go and try one - you'll love it.

Paul.

Dobergirl...I'm 5'6" with a 30" inseam. Got a King & Queen seat on my standard Bonnie and have no problem touching the ground with both feet.

Sarah G. from Kentucky rode a T100. She is a petite size 1. She rode it up to Nova Scotia and back. Now rides a BMW. CC in LA is rather petite too and rides a hot-rodded Bonnie.
