Looking to add the king & queen seat to my Bonneville, and I can't seem to find any supplier that sells a sissy bar with a small luggage rack. And body know of a supplier that might have this item, Thanks.

I've been looking for that also, so far it seems its either a rack OR a sissy bar, there are a couple of racks that have grabrails...

I am currently looking for a used rack from another bike that is about the right size to get cheap, then a freind of mine will help weld it on my Triumph sissy bar, then I'll have to have the whole thing chromed....

Wish someone would just make them aftermarket!!!

I saw a sissy bar setup the other day on a website picture (didn't save it or the picture, and can't find it now)

Basically it was two brackets, each made of flat steel with hollow box section welded on, then all chromed.

The brackets were fitted on the bracket bolts on the Speedy/TBA/whatever guard and any after market sissy bar, with the correct width(between the legs), and dimensions of the metal of the legs slipped into the two brackets and were fixed in place. The beauty of it was that it could be fastened to any of the three bolts thereby allowing the sissy bay to be moved backwards or forwards on the gaurd to accomodate either a single seat or a dual seat /single seat & pillion.

This way, you could have any type of sissy bar, with or without rack, expresso maker or whatever else you wanted or any combination you liked as long as the width of the legs allowed it to fit into the square holes in the brackets.

Over to you Brett, I 'll have a pair thanks, once we've figured out which of the many after market bars are the right width.

Actually, re-reading the above it's a bloody brilliant idea, and needs somone to make them. Just think a massive variety of after market sissy bars and racks, and conbinations. And back rests for old farts like me who need lumbar support, but don't want / can't afford the Corbin set up.

If anyone is interested, check the photo album in the section concerning shop scrapbook and on page 3 you can see the mod I did to a Cobra #02-3500 rack. I'm no machinist or mechanic, but it turned out well and extremely strong. I couldn't find anything for the Triumph K&Q seat and Triumph high sissy bar either. This rack will hold a large backpack with a weekends worth of clothing for (2) people with no problem. I think the cost of the rack was just a little over $100 US and it's of good quality .

Check out the Renntec Rack at www.newbonneville.com. I do not think it comes with a back rest.

Try Ventura racks, put onto my Thruxton and has the best of both worlds., fits with my K&Q seat fitted , acts as a sissy bar and can put on a large or small bag on back(similar to the gearsack bag but not as heavy duty)
Comes in chrome or black and best of all the sissy bar section can be taken off and a grab rail fitted to give that "cafe racer look" overall very happy with the look and quality and for you guys in US very cheap in the exchange, about $300.00 aus for bag, frame ,brackets and grab rail.
IF I ever learn how to post a photo be glad to show you how it looks, what I need is a post photos for dummies, cheers

There is no combination sissy bar and luggage rack for the new Bonneville. The closest most people have found is the grab bar and luggage rack combo available from Sprint.

I sported a Ventura rack system on my Sprint RS..... no pictures though. I loaded the (big) Ventura bag up with a weekend's worth of 'stuff', and mounted it to the rack such that it was resting on my passenger seat directly over the rear axle.

It was a weekend of VERY HIGH SPEED RUNS, peg scraping.... and generally acting a fool! I have been accustom to the "System Cases" (saddle bags) on the Beemer prior to my Sprint. I will go on record saying that the weight distribution, and overall 'feel' of my bike with the Ventura system was vastly SUPERIOR to the 'feel' of saddle bags. I thought the lower center-of-gravity saddle bags offer, would afford the rider a better handling machine...... conversely, I think the more centralized mass of my Ventura may have actually been superior to the weight splayed on either side of the bike!

As a result of this thread, I'm rethinking my approach to the Bonneville...... and considering the Ventura Rack System again. Think about it, a Triumph grab rail is gonna cost a gang-o-money, but if you buy the Ventura..... you have the versatility of small grab bar, a short luggage rack that will hold a small day bag, or the big luggage rack that will hold a variety of HUGE bags.
Hmmmmmm........ I thought it was an ugly fixture on my Sprint RS, a chrome Ventura might be just what I'm looking for on my BonnieBlack!

Note:
The Ventura rack system should NOT be mistaken for a sissy bar that a passenger can lean against!
