Is it just me or does anyone else have a problem with the left hand mirror (clutch lever side) constantly moving? No matter how hard I try to tighten it, the thing keeps swinging around. Any ideas anyone?

There is a little spring bush between the mirror stalk and the mounting hole. This seems to be there to keep enough tension on the mirror that it stays in place but loose enough that it would pivot on a drop.

(love the 4+4-congratulations on it)

Thanks Paul, I will have a look and make sure the spring bush is still there!

Yes the 4/4 is great in this weather, but rarely comes out over in Blighty!

i had the same issue this weekend. by accident i discovered if i turned the entire mirror clockwise (on the screw), it tightens down great. then rotate the mirror itself in a circular turn to put the bulk on the high side. (you'll see what i mean when you turn it.) then after step one is tight, and step two has it set right, then you can tweak it little by little.
it was annoying, but now it's set tight. good luck.
