The black casing really has a contrast against the rest of the gray engine!

thanks, that is what i was going for. i sold my chrome m-bars, to get the black ones from new bonneville, but I may have to go with those ace bars after seeing yours...have you had the need for rearsets yet?

Very nice, man.

Are those stock Thrux pipes or Thrux TOR's? I like that long lean look that those pipes give the bike. Did you notice any difference in performance when you changed pipes?

:whoops: I have felt the need for rear-sets. Yesterday my dad suggested using the passenger pegs during straight-ways on the highway, and I must admit, I did.

I love the Bonneville. There are so many different ways she can be rode.

I think I will still aim to get the NH rear-sets. I like the looks of them better than the LSL ones.

They are stock, but seem louder than the stock bonnie pipes. i think i feel a bit of performance increase, but nothing major. i love the look of the thrux pipes and after running similiar looking near open pipes, i am enjoying the silence.

I hear ya on the noise. I have D&D's and they do wear a bit thin after a while. Must be incipient middle-age. Time to work out a trade...

Has anyone priced the Thrux foot peg/controls from the dealer? I would like to move mine back to better work with the M bars but don't care for either the NH or the LSL rear-sets.

How did you get the stock Thruxton silencers on the Bonnie? Did you use Thruxton headers? Did you have to modify anything to get them to fit?

they are the stock bonneville headers. i had to bend the ends down and out a bit. to do that i put a block of wood under the end of the header where it begins to bend and stuck a metal pipe that was just a hair smaller than the opening of the end of the header tube into the header tube, then carefully bent it down and out, little by little until the pipes slid on and the mounts lined up.
