There is a sale going on over and up here. It’s the 650 Daytona´s of course, because there is a new one coming. But also the Bonneville´s are sold with a 10 per cent discount. Is it just a saturated market or are there some upgraded twins coming?

Apropos the Bonnie Swede. Yes, it's true they have made many but I think they are also competing with themselves with all the new models, especially the drop dead gorgeous speed triple.

On the bright side, it is great to see Triumph making a major impact on the market. Downside the U.K. economy is heading toward a slow down.

Archimedes,

About the economy, I think the whole of Europe is a bit slow there. I hope you are not personally affected.

And I think you are right about the new models, with one totally new and one major update every year there will be a clearance sales every autumn. Even Harley is going that way nowadays, I believe. I have heard they now make a very ride-able Sportser after 25 years of small changes, for example.

Some of the restored 40 year old Bonnies now go for about 15,000 pounds and early models exceed 20,000 pounds (a new one in those days probably sold for about 1,000 pounds) . Buy a new one as an investment.

Yes, you guys.
If I get you right you are suggesting that I buy a couple of Bonneville’s and keep them for 40 years, preferably untouched to make it a profitable piece of business? I´ll be over 90 then but I can of course use the money to buy myself a complete new teeth-implant or something.
Seriously I’m planning to buy a Thruxton but I’m waiting for the next….or last update hopefully with two disk brakes in front. You see! That’s what Triumphs promise of continuous product development has done to me.
