Hi Captain,

You can improve on that warm-up by backing out the pilot screws a bit, maybe a half-turn? I'll be it looks and sounds pretty good, I'd sure like to see pictures if you get a chance!

Cheers!

Mon Capitan,

I thought there were front and rear baffles on the peashooters but it sounds like you are just removing the rear baffles. Can you confirm?

Also, when you rejetted, did you need to remove the carbs entirely or could you get at the jets with the carbs still mounted? I thought I read that the carbs needed to be removed on the BA but not the stock bonnie or T100.

I'm planning the same mod myself in the fall and would really like to be clear on the details.

Thanks,

Pete

There are several baffles in the stock mufflers with the rear baffles being different than the remaining baffles. Once you remove the rear baffles, you can drill through the remaining baffle plates. I think there are four additional baffles plates. It is been a while since i did this mod and my ancient memory may be off.

You can rejet the Bonneville/T100 without removing the carbs. However, the stock aluminum carb screws are a pain to remove and you will mess up some of the heads. Before you attempt this mod, purchase a stainless steel carb screw replacement kit. Once you have replaced those stock screws, future rejetting is a piece of cake. I did the initial rejetting without removing the carbs.

Funky rear baffle & 3 restrictor plates DX the baffle the rest is easy Make sure you weld the bit to the extender or get a long bit If you lose it inside Its lost & your bike will have a nice jingle to it It is so nice now I saved $$$+++ kept the look & added some oomph Try it Youll like it!!
