Mikey, Larry
Thanks for the info. My first project will be to get the rest of the AI components off the bike that were left on it. The metal tubes in the head were removed along with the two hoses but everything else is still there.

I plan on ordering a service manual on Monday but will be removing the tank tomorrow so I need a few tips on removing and replacing it safely. I read in an earlier post that you disconnect the fuel line, remove the rear bolts and move the tank back and up to remove it. It seems pretty simple but wanted to be sure.

Thanks
Scott

Sorry, I hit the wrong button. This is a reply to Mikey and Redbird in the post down below.

Remove the two 6mm bolts from the back of the tank. Use a 8mm wrench (size of the hex head). Disconnect the fuel line on the left and the vent tube on the right. Pull back a couple of inches and then up.

Reverse procedure to reinstall.

Thanks RaceDweeb.

Just returned from Sears with 300.00 worth of new tools. Tomorrow is Tank day. Got in touch with the great folks at NewBonneville and they hooked me up with the airbox plug and carb vacuum cap I didn't have. Ordered yesterday and it arrived today.
