I'm sure this has come up before on the forum. How can I convert my Bonneville turn signals to act as running lights as well? I know the stock signals won't get it done, but what parts would I need to do it?
Thanks!! :???:

Electrical Connection Turn Signal Conversion

I put #1314 on my America. Converts the rear turn signals into red running lights and additional brake lights. I feel a lot safer waiting on a 2-way to turn left with traffic streaming around me. Triples your presence at night from the rear. Well worth the $50 and 30 minute install.

Jones Knows!!! I put the conversion kit that he recommended on my bike, it works really well. It may take you tad bit longer than 30 minutes though, simply because the instructions could be a bit more clear, but you'll figure it out. It looks great.

Be careful on the parts though, if you mess up they don't give you too many extras. Sametime if you do mess up you could pick up the parts cheap at any hardwear store.

I soldered and shrink wrapped all of my connections except for the ones inside the fender mount housing, there just wasn't much room in there to work. They've been on for about 5k miles with no problems.

The other ways to do it is to buy a Kisan Signal Minder which will convert all 4 stock indicators to running lights (as well as self canceling your flashers), or replace the stock indicators with dual element lamps.

Guys, thanks for the great response. I will try the Kisan version, since it will allow running lights and self cancel on all four lights. Thanks again for you help! :-D
