Scrambler Gel Seat - Rock Hard

As I may have mentioned, I accidentally bought a gel seat for the Scrambler (stupid eBay). Well it finally turned up and seeing as though I was working on the bike anyway, I thought I'd fit it and bask in the new-found übercomfort that my bum deserved. Now I've just taken her out for a run and after about 50 miles I was starting to feel far from comfortable and it felt as though the seat was rubbing / pressing against my right thigh.

Please someone tell me that this bad boy breaks in and gets more comfy and that it happens quickly, because the way things are at the minute, I'll be putting the stock seat back on and going on my big ride with that!

Cheers
bob

I have the stock and gel Scrambler seats.

The stock seat is comfortable for the first hour or two, then starts to get uncomfortable.

The gel seat feels too firm at first, but never becomes less comfortable. I've spent a few 8+ hour days on the gel seat and didn't worry about seat comfort at all.

One thing with the gel seat; in cool temperatures it is hard because the gel is cold, in direct summer sun it retains heat and will get uncomfortably hot. For that reason I leave the stock seat on the bike and only use the gel seat for long trips.
