Fog proof helmet?
I'm looking for those other foolish all day into the night riders on a naked bike in dumps and drizzle who have found a fog proof helmets/visors. My Schuberth C2 visor is shot and didn't work well when it wasn't. As most things German - over rated and over priced. This type of "fog proofing" tends to load with water vapor until it rains down the inside of the visor. Tried the topical stuff with minimal results. With the cost of a new visor being equal to a new Scorpion exo-400 or HJC-15 helmet I was looking into that direction instead. But if anyone has info I'm listening.

I use Bob Heath anti-fog spray. It works, for a couple of hours anyways. I have been riding to work in sub zero temperatures and it keeps my visor clear in those conditions.

I've used "fog city" visor inserts allways worked for me (like double glazing) and lately been using Arai helmets with their pinlock system which is pretty much the same idea, the Arais are a bit pricey but good helmets.

Yeah that couple of hours routine is easy to find. When I decide to take a weekend and go I ride for 6 to 12 hours to a destination when the weather and traffic are good. I've taken 18 hours to get to an 11 hour destination when weather and traffic are not good. Not fun when you can't see more than 150 feet in front of you.

I sent an email to Schuberth complaining that the anti fog coating just came off, sent them my receipt for my lid and got a free replacement visor back off them. Excellent customer service.

And have you ridden for several hours in the rain in stop and go traffic? So far if it says waterproof or fog proof I'll show you how they lie. I have hear/read good things about the Fog city and Pinlock inserts and this is why I was looking at HJC for the Pinlock option. I have yet to find anyone that have put them to the extreme doclees test.

fog city inserts work well for me
the bigger problem is my glasses. It doesn't matter how fog free your visor is if your glasses fog up

I used to have a Pinlock on my old Shoei and it worked great, but I didn't like the way that it removes a border from your visor (if you see what I mean) reducing your vision. That said, Schuberth visors are now available with Pinlock and they are big, so may be less of a problem.
Just found this Ride Triangle test for visor demisters

Yep it just peals off when the conditions are right. Like a the start of an 18 hour ride in the rain. Read you manual on the care of this coating. It isn't very robust.
