T100 or Ducati 1098 R Corse?
I can't decide whether to go for a T100 or a Ducati 1098 R Corse. I'm 6ft so which bike would fit me best? Is the Ducati less comfortable than the T100, which bike will have lower insurance, and which bike will soak up the bumps better. I also need to carry luggage so which bike would be better for this, or should I buy a GS? I just can't decide.
Or should I change my options and consider choosing between a Thruxton and a Victory 8 Ball?
Or perhaps a car?
I like Black, is the Ducati available in black? Or the Bonneville in Ducati Red?

They can't really be compared IMHO. The Duke is an out and out state-of-the-art sports bike with near 3 times the horse power and twice the price. Forget comfort and luggage carrying ability. The insurance will be astronomical and it will spend a lot of time at the dealers if the experiences of some of my acquaintances with other Ducati models are anything to go by.
I'd give anything for those Ohlins forks though...

A Ducati 1098 compared to a T100 is like chalk and cheese.

LOL Decisive you aren't. It's not the 1st of April for two and a half weeks yet...
On a more positive note, Ducatis are like anything Italian, need to be experienced once in your life.

First thing that pops to mind is "Troll", but just in case they're
legit questions, chalk n cheese is what next pops into my head.
I think it was mentioned in a different subsection of this forum about the Triumph vs the 883, that logging in to a bike specific forum will get you mostly biased answers.
No one can answer your questions about preference but you, do some searching on the Ducati and Triumph official sites for colours, luggage options etc.
Insurance can be very specific, no claim bonus, locality, how often you ride etc etc etc.
Imo, the bikes you mention are like comparing a Ferrari with a BMW/Mercedes.

sport 1000
Surely a ducati sport 1000 is the bike to get if you're going down the duc route. It's the only bike that gets near the cafe racer feel of the Triumph. Next to my t301, my Sport 1000 is the only other bike that gets my heart pumping.

Mate, the Ducati 1098 R Corse is the one to go for. Just make sure you get the sissy bar and the foot forward controls before you take delivery. You gunna love it, my dream bike

Thanks for the advice GoGirl. You've helped me make my mind up, sissy bar and foot forward controls it will be, and a set of leather throw over panniers.
Can you buy red Ducati leathers with tassels?

Sure can, I've got a set, only mine have detachable butt cheeks for when I go to the gay mardigras.
