Thruxton gel

Well, I have read the numerous threads regarding seats on this site and they have all been tremendously helpful. I am 90 percent sure I am going with the Thruxton gel seat. All pictures of this seat show it with a cowl which I do not want. Does this seat with no cowl look just like the contemporary seat? I am guessing yes, but would love confirmation or a pic.

I also came across a seat on ebay for a
TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE / T100 GEL SEAT - A9700246

This looks just like stock and I see it nowhere else but on this ebay store for North county Yamaha
http://stores.ebay.com/NORTH-COUNTY-YAMAHA-ONLINE-STORE

Curious what this is all about as well. Thanks all.

Guess I should mention...just bought an '06 T-100 creamsicle.

I have a Thrux gel seat, I couldn't stand the stock seat anymore after 15k miles or so.

The gel seat is much better than the stocker, you can get it with or without the cowl. It's avail through any Triumph dealer. There is a step up on the back of the seat where the cowl attaches to the seat. The step up is only about 1.5 inches high.

BluJ's bike on page 9. The search function often works well if you put in the right term.

That's weird, I don't see Wenzel850's bike on that page.

Just kidding, I understand the search and have used it to much success and actually have not had to post for long time because of it.

how does the thruxton gel seat fit compared to the bonne stock seat? does it seat you higher, lower, narrower in front? I've read that some people slide into the gas tank a little, thanks
