Dedication/Love
Ok I know its a girly thing but I've been out for the last two hours in the freezing cold cleaning my bike. I've dried her off with loads of rags and polished her all up, not a bit of salt remains.
Now here is the dedication bit, I love my bike that much that in the process I've broken four of my very long nails and have two chunks of skin missing, plus grease and dirt under all the other nails.
You know what though, I couldn't give a toss, my girl is worth it.
Told you it was a girly post, so apologises

I love having grease, dirt, and oil under my finger nails for a couple days after getting dirty with the bike. Reminds me of what I love doing

I love the woman's touch that the few ladies bring to this forum along with their love for these wonderful machines.
Good on you Rose!

Bike Love...
In a forum that is mostly dominated by males, it is so good to read about your dedication to your bike.
These wonderful British machines get right under your skin and into your heart. I don't know why it is so, but there is "something" about British bikes that does this every time.
I know it's not only us rough males that it affects, because I have spoken to other lovely female riders who own Bonny's and they are all the same, they love their Britbikes.
Keep up that "girly thing" Rose, it's nice to read a good post like yours on the forum.
S.

JEEZ.... And I felt so proud my wife gives a big hi and a pat to my bike when she gets out of the car in the garage...
Got her first pair of motorcycle boots and with a couple of more rides and I think she takes it up a notch further. However, she's not quite ready to bust her fingernails yet...

I married Mrs Nickwiz because she could strip and rebuild a brake caliper and had oil under her fingernails! Well Ok that wasn't the only reason but it was one of em. So Rose forget those girly nails. A bit of black is better.

So Rose: which do you prefer - cleaning and riding your Triumph, or having long nails? 'Cos it seems from what you're saying, it's one or the other!
