Canadian License Plates

Ok, took tin snips and cut appx:1/4'' H X 3'' W off the bottom and curved it to match the guard which was in the way this enabled me to use the top bolt holes. I then put the bottom nuts and bolts in so it look like it is bolted everywhere.

Thanks to everyone for their input.

Cheers,
CanCarl

I just mount mine with only 2 bolts and a plastic cover that fits the plate. Works like a charm.

You guys must have different size plates to us (NS). Ours are 7cms between the bolt holes, there was a Speedy on the dealer's floor today and the holes on the brkt were 7cms
apart. Could you mount a blank carrier plate to the brkt and then mount your lic plate to that?

canadian plates-ontario

just purchased a 96 Trophy , also a US bike, and my nice chrome license plate cover will not line up with the holes on the bike. Bought a helmet lock bracket from casporttouring that fits in the existing holes to mount my plate on. Hope it works. Brian in Huntsville

[QUOTE=cancarl;1472194]Just bought a '08 Speedmaster and the license plate (Ontario)
is too big for the holder!

It's the height, out by 1/2'' (half an inch), also there is no back and it is exposed with wires tucked in, so hacking the plate up and
re-drilling the holes etc., does not appear to be a great fix and water will get in.....also finishing the plate off with a nice plate frame will not work because they were made to fit the license plate.

Any suggestions!

Cheers,
CanCarl
