A Real Man's Triumph!

C'mon, you guys know who's Tiger this is. One of the best looking 'broken-in' bikes I've ever seen. Love those tank bags!

Is it Ted Simon's Triumph?

The answer was in the image properties...

Jupiter's Travels

Didn't think about checking the properties (sneaky neat!). Only a coincidence his name came to mind, since I had just recently pulled Ted's book off the shelf , and was doing a re-read.

I met Ted at Mid Ohio nearly 13 years ago at his kiosk where he was selling and signing copies of "Jupiter's Travels". There's a newer book (he documented another round the world trip later in life ... this time I believe he rode an airhead G/S or GS.

I'm reading the second book now, "Dreaming of Jupiter". Interesting how the world has changed for him. And yeah he rides a GS but he originally went to Triumph. They offered him a bike to ride but nothing else and didn't really seem to care about what he was attempting, whereas a fan of his offered him a totally rigged up GS with support of a shop to send him gear and supplies. So it was somewhat of a no-brainer.

And yes I realized the image properties could give it away, but then that's cheating and you wouldn't have qualified for the $10,000 I sent to OhioRider for answering correctly!

Its not cheating...as it was not clearly explained or listed in the rules of participation...Ill take 20% of the grand total as a concession prize...

What bike to buy with my newly-acquired wealth? So many bikes .... so little time!
