Anyone have any clreance issues with the D&D street TT style pipes on a Thrux?

Still going back and forth on exhaust. I like the look of the D&D TT style exhaust, Is anyone using these and if so, any clearance issues? I'd hate to lay the bike down because I got hung up on the pipes. See pic from there web site below.

Thanks,
X

they scrape on everything, and forget about going over speedbumps. I have/had the D&D 2-1 pipe that runs under the bike as well.

hey Sweat,
You got any new pics of your exhaust installed?
Fat Frank and I are talking about a ride from Houston to Austin in the next month or so, we want to meet up and check out your bike.

I ran that setup for a while but scared the crap outta myself touching down in a corner. Didn't happen often but once is too much.

I switched over to the Specialty Spares TT pipes with no baffles.

No more clearance issues and no longer have to pull off the mufflers to change the oil.

96,
How was the sound between the two? I like the SS set, but was worried that it might be a bit too loud.

No comparison at least for me. I ordered the SS setup with no baffles.

I ran the D&D setup for a while, then ran the stock headpipes with no mufflers, put the D&D's back on for comparison and after running straight pipes the D&D's sounded a lot quieter and lost much of "the tone".

My Son rides with me occasionally (08 Speed Triple) and he said the D&D's weren't loud at all.

Anyway I really like the SS pipes and there is no db limit here. I think there are quite a few folks here running the SS pipes with the baffles if you're looking for sound level comparisons.

IMHO in looking at the baffles that were shipped with my SS pipes, it doesn't look like that style of baffle would be very good for top end power or flow.

Good luck!

The new D&D 2-2 are pretty cool, and stainless steel (unlike the TT pipes)
