I thought that subject line would get attention. I was given a gift certificate a few weeks ago good for two days on the Harley of my choice. I've since bought a 2004 Bonneville but haven't received it yet. I'm worried that if I rent a big Harley, I might ruin my Bonneville experience. I am considering just renting a sportster so its at least comparable. What do ya guys think?

Rent a stock 883. It'll make you REALLY appreciate your new Bonnie (and give you every right to say so)! :-D

The 1450cc Harleys won't ruin your experience. Although they are big and comfy, they rev low and handle like dogs. . .

I would rent a Duece.

Rent a V-rod and have fun with it. Just be careful.

VROD or Fatboy....

Actually, you should see if they would allow you to do one for the first week and one for the second week. This would give you a pretty good appreciation for the differences.

Ride on....

V Rod? Isn't that where Harley hired the Germans to build a bike that performs like a 20 year old Ducati?

If you have the days off I would suggest planning a trip and fitting the Harley to it.

If you have a freind to ride pillion you might want to try renting an Electra Glide and going on a camping trip.

I'd rent the Electra Glide. When else in the near future are you going to have a big *** trunk and a CD player on your bike?

If you are going for looks alone, ride the Herritage Springer!

Rent the over priced one. Hope that narrows it down for you. :jest:
