I bought the locking gas cap from Newbonneville for $49 and have been very pleased with it--over about 2500 miles. I only locked it a few times at first, and don't bother any more. It's nice to know that I could lock it if I wanted to. I actually bought the cap because my OEM was so difficult to remove--it was a choice between buying a new cap or carrying a rubber jar opener with me. Quality is excellent, and . . . it opens quite easily because you can actually get a grip on it.

Fon J-- just as an addenda--I'm thinking about buying the Monza cap. Not because I don't like the locking gas cap I have, but because (1) I like the look of the Monza cap, and (2) there have been a number of posts about peeling paint around the gas tank hole and I have wondered if the Monza cap, with its insert, might provide some protection from splashing gas. Just a thought. Monza cap is significantly more though, and if what your looking for is a locking cap that comes off easier than the OEM cap, I'd recommend the NewBonneville one.

I just bought a monza quick release cap from mototwin, as i've developed "Popeye" forearms trying to get the original undone! All i can say is, whilst slightly expensive at £87:00, it looks great and pops open easily, and my forearms are now retuning to their normal size. I had to make different thickness shims to line the cap up straight though as the ones provided were all the same-0.016".
