Is there anything like this? A pair of slip on's that are not much louder than stock but sound throaty and add some performance. or am i just dreaming?

I'll let you know when I get my Thunderbike pipes. Claims not to need re-jetting. Just adjust the mixture and ready to go. If you go to the site, you can hear an example of the sound. www.thunderbike.co.nz/index.htm Go to the bottom and choose "product" then America/SM and then the first pipe screen has sound...

Dazco,
If you have a standard or T100 Bonneville, then what you need are the Triumph Off Road Mufflers(TORS). You described them perfectly and you'll pick up about 6 HP. Go see your Triumph dealer. By the way, add what bike you're riding in your profile so we'll know.

Yea, i looked at those but thats too much $ for me to spend on pipes.

No,a speedmaster. and in another thread you said the america )i assume same pipe as SM) TOR's are much louder. So they're out. Thats what i wanted tho !

Yea, i looked at those but thats too much $ for me to spend on pipes.
Did you do the currency conversion and add the cost of your dealer re-jetting your carbs, etc. It might surprise you...

Dazco,
I'm not sure about the speedmaster, but I modified my stock Bonneville mufflers before I got Togas and the result was very pleasing.
