EFI tank range?
First tank, the light first appeared at 135 miles and I filled up at 165. Worked out to 53 mpg (imperial) which I thought was pretty good.
Second tank, light first came on at 98 miles, and I filled up at 111 to only get 43mpg (imperial)
That's a big difference! I would be interested in other people's experiences. Does fuel economy improve with more miles? I have just over 1000 miles now.

Your mileage will vary depending on many factors such as:
How hard you twist the throttle
What gear you ride in
How clean your air filter is
type of gasoline
and many others.
Also the number of miles you have on the motor, at 1k the motor isn't even fully broken in, it won't be broken in until 3000-3500 miles or possibly more.
Ride and enjoy the bike.

With a mix of city and highway riding the mileage on my 09 Bonnie has been running between 49 and 51 mpg U.S. gallons. The fuel light comes on at about 130 and I run for another 60 miles or so before I feel compelled to stop. Presumably, with more than 4 gallons in the tank one could easily go to 200 miles but I don't relish the thought of pushing the bike up the highway if my math is bad. It's all relative, of course. I know that the speedometer is off by 10 mph at highway speed (fast) and I havent really checked the odometer.

empty light usually comes on at about 110 mi - that's running dominator touring exhaust with the arrow 2-2 map and a generous application of throttle through the life of the tank.

On my SE I see the low lite at about 130 to 150 miles, It then drinks about 2.5 to 3 Gal so looks like I am getting around 50 MPG and still have 1+ Gal in the tank when the light comes on.

I've a 08 efi with 5,000 miles and I average around 115 miles before the red light comes on. I went up a tooth on the front and it didn't seem to make a hoot of a differance!

log
I'm tracking my mileage log at http://www.5cats.org/t100/
I commute 26 miles round trip to work, in Southern California -- about 50% freeway traffic @70mph, 50% city traffic (stop lights, etc.).
I'm amazed at how quickly it settled at a consistent mpg.
Cheers,
-jd.

Lots of mixed riding for me, but light normaly comes on around 120 miles and fill up before 150 miles. I think there is still plenty left in the tank, but I get know where near as good as hubby who has a cbf 600, he hardly ever has to fill his up compared to mine.

Just under 500 miles on '09 bonnie and seem to be getting right around 40-45 mpg. Noting Wenzel's comment on break in, this motor is clearly in its infancy! So, will see how things go over time.
