Smile centered speedometer bracket... home made!

I dont like the stock Bonneville speedo bracket so i decided to build my own... this is what i ended up with..... (sorry about the bad quality.. mobilephone junk)

I also replaced the turnlight signal and all the rest with some smaller ones...
The bucket under is a sort of Coffe thingie...

Im pretty happy how it turned out

and the best of all... I made it myself... and it one of a kind!

Nice work and it looks good. What did you make the bracket out of and did you have to do anything special with the wiring for the idiot lights?

Very cool! What did you use to house the cables for all the lights under the bracket? Is there any way to trim that odometer dial a little so it sits closer to the bracket?

Thanks...
I just wired them one at the time.. so there is no mixing going on!

started with a 2mm aluminum "plate" and roughly sketching the outer contour...

lights....

I had a hard time to decide which to use... I went with the stock bonneville 2001 (right) the other is a Scrambler 2006 (left)

Thanks again

This is a before picture.. i used heat-shrink tubing around the cabels so i got them in a single "wire"... sort of...

the odometer thingie has a d-shaped form inside but i dont se that as a big problem.. i havent really given it a thought until you mentioned it have to take care of that later on.....

Very well done.
I wish our speedometers were only in miles, that too looks so much cleaner. Or we get on with it and make the change (blame Canada!).

Good work! I like the nice smooth contours you got on the finished piece compared to that rough sketch. Any vibration issues?
