Scrambler Accessory Power Adaptor

It costs about $20.00 to install the accessory power outlet to the Scrambler 900. I wanted it to charge my cell phone and GPS via a cigarette type outlet. It had to be close to the dash to keep it clean. I also have a pouch type handlebar mounted storage bag to keep my devices in while chargeing and/or operating. The GPS/Cell Phone case opens for viewing while driving.

The Bell All Weather outlet mounts nicely to the front brake reservoir piston housing with zip tyes. It is available at Pep Boys and other auto stores for $12.95. It's very well hidden but fully accessable. There are many places to tie it to if you don't want it there.

I bought a 10 Ft. length of the Battery Tender extension cord with the SAE 2 prong connectors. I removed one end of the extension to splice (with solder) to the outlet. I used some old plastic wire-cover sleeves to cover the connection and the ugly red wire on the outlet. The other end of the extension (power side) is routed under the tank and makes its was to the left side cover where I already have a battery tender lead. Just plug it in. When you want a trickle charge; disconnect and use the charger as normal.
