New tires for the T100?
It's time to switch out the original tires on the T100. There's still tread left on the original Bridgestone Battlax BT45F tires (I haven't ridden the bike that much) but there's some minor sidewall cracking. Six years is long enough, and probably too long as I've read that no motorcycle tire should be trusted after five years.
The bike has 100/90x19 57H front and 130/80x17 65H rear tires. I like the profiles and the bike handles well.
I'm thinking Dunlops, in keeping with the British character of the bike. Has anyone here any experience with Dunlops on their Bonneville? What do you have and how do you like them?
Thanks!

Go with Avon roadriders - very nice and made in England if the character thing is a big deal. Personally I choose tyres for grip rather than character - but I suppose you could say a tyre that grips well is a tyre of good character too!
Good price too on those roadriders. I'm going to put those on my Bonnie for next riding season.

Avon Roadriders
You cannot go wrong with Avon Roadriders, you will think you're riding a totally different bike. I just put a set on my 06 Thruxton (stock sizes) and the overall performance my bike has gained is amazing due to the elimination of any wobble, the elimination of groove tracking and the increased confidence I have when cornering.

Metezler Lasertec's are what came on my T100 and so far the only thing I've used when a new set was needed.
They are great in the rain and super when braking or cornering.

I've been running Lasertec's front and rear and have no complaints about grip in the cold, rain, or ideal conditions.

2 seasons of GT501's, very happy with them as they feel very stable and planted, no hunting or squirrelyness whatsoever. Had BT45s earlier, those were happy hunting grooves all day long.
But lately, there's been a lot of posts by happy roadrider users...

+1...I agree completely, I am so impressed with Avon tires I think it will be the only tire I run from now on. What a difference! I have never heard a nagative comment on Avon tires.

Not displeased with my Avons at all, but so far the best tires i've had were Sport Demons (Pirelli). But, keep this in mind, the better they grip, the quicker they wear!
