You mean a lot of crap being said about the Bonneville?

I agree. It's a great bike, and will go many miles.

It's sure to provide many miles and may smiles. Arguably the best handling of the modern classic Triumphs. I hope to have one soon and plan to cafe it.

It kinda gets the passion up when guys lambast the new bonnie just because a part or 2 aint made in the UK,SPECIALLY when they ride the older version-there I've said it-I've got feelings 2 J.B.

Hmmm.... that said, has anyone done or thought about doing a SaddleSore 1000 or BunBurner 1500 ride on a Bonnie?

Maybe next Summer...

conchscooter did an SS 1000 on one, stock seat and all - check the ride reports thread. His report was a pretty good read.

Great report -- very entertaining and informative. The guy has a great sense of humor. I was wondering why he started the ride late in the sfternoon and then read later that he works nights.

OK, anyone done a SS 1000 or BB 1500 on a new base (or SE) Bonnie?

again, maybe next Summer...after fitting a windscreen and changing out the shocks.

Bonnevilles!

I don't care what anyone says, I freaking LOVE my Bonneville....and all those before the current one. The change from 650cc to 865 has brought an amazing change in the bikes but I love the old ones as much as the new one I currently own.
My ultimate dream would be to be buried in my maxivan with the bike inside, my Old Town canoe on top, all my crap inside, a joint in the ashtray and a Greatful Dead 8 track tape in the player!!
