My Bonnie vibrates on the throttle handlebar grip (only) enough tpo put my hand to sleep in 30 minutes or so. Help? Is this normal? It is very aggravating. How can I fix this? Do they "all do that". Perfect bike except for that and a little oil leak. Waiting for D&D pipes and Smugggler seat. Have new oil temp gauge from new bonneville and it is really neat. Hate the vibration!! HELP!

Exactly!

Mine too , was considering getting some new grips , but as I approach the 500 mile service , I'm finding it's less of a problem , with increasing confidence and less nervousness.
I think it's firmly linked to how hard you grip, and now I'm relaxing , it's not so bad.

What do others think?

All the best

Try the Olympia "Absorber" gloves with the pump up air cushions. They work better than anything else for me.

I put a Kuryakin Throttle Boss in mine.
You can rest you palm on it and control the throttle without always having a firm grip on the throttle.
Cost $10. and installs in 10 seconds.

It is worth checking all the engine/gearbox mountings are tight. after that check that the carbs are synchronised. uneven firing can cause all sorts of vibration problems....

No vibration here. None that I notice, anyway. And I now have m-bars.

How many miles do you have on your bike? My 05 T100 had 500 miles on it when I got it and has now done 1800 miles. I believe the high frequency vibration I felt through the handelbars at higher RPMs has reduced significantly as the miles have gone by. It also pulls more strongly and revs out more quickly.

Check to be sure your carburetors are synchronized. I have installed Norman Hyde M bars and a 19 tooth countershaft sprocket, so my bike is no longer stock. I think the countershaft sprocket will lower your highway rpm's and you won't notice a thing. Best of luck.

Never noticed any vibration on mine. You could get gel grips or gel gloves. Some people used to fill the bars with bbs or bird shot, but that seems like it would add too much weight up high.
Might try just changing the angle of the bars a tad; sometimes that makes a big difference because the amount of body weight transferred through the arms changes.

may not be the vibration. i am 57 and have had problems with the little and ring finger on my hands buring and going numb when driving a car sometimes. since i got my bonnie the thumb and next two fingers do the same thing. sometimes early in a ride some times later. i think it is caused by a nerve in my shoulders, since they bother me some too. anyway shaking the hands clears it up some when riding. of course there is some vibration there too, but in my case i don't think that is the reason. i am going to get a steroid shot which has helped in the past. if you are young this may not be the problem. i agree it takes the fun away. :hammer:
