the fun begins (with an old tank)

Found this old tank off of a TR25W that I really like so I'm "reconditioning it" and I'm gonna build a new bonneville around it.

I don't even have the bike yet, but she's coming soon and I couldn't wait to get started on the tank. Should be a fun project. Stripped the tank to metal and was happy to find it in overall good condition.

I like it. What are the rest of the plans for the bike?

I'd like to play with the stance: stretch the swingarm a couple inches & lower the bike a touch.

Chop the seat down to a single & refab the frame under the seat to clean it up. Clean up the lighting. Some mild perf/suspension upgrades then paint & polishing.

Sounds like quite a project. An awesome project. I`m going to start a new tank project too, around my new Biltwell seat.

Hey Rod,

Thanks!- The project has been a good time so far.

I like the seat- Looking forward to seeing your new tank.

I completely dig the stance of your bike. Very inspiring to me- that's definitely the effect I'm going for.

Cheers.
