New York to Ohio
Hey All
I'm planning on going out to the AMA Vintage Days from New York City. I'm planning on taking a solid 2 days but trying to find some nice twisty or scenic ways to get out there. Don't mind going North, South wherever. Any suggestions I'd love to hear them!

I've got a Rand-McNally road atlas and they put green dots along all the "scenic" roads. I have tried them, the roads, and we both agree upon what is scenic. Try it!

Rt 6 thru the northern part of PA is a pretty good ride, Rt 30 is also a good ride through the midle of the state, not on the east or west ends....

I'll be riding to Mid- O from New Jersey . I did the route 6 last year all the way out and went south and popped out on the PA-OH border and then hit some roads in OH to Lexington . Good time . This year though I might just B-line it down 80 to 71 .

I'm riding all the way to Ohio....from Ohio. Sorry guys. But it's well worth the trip from any distance if you love old bikes. Save some room in your saddlebags for t-shirts!

A nice way into Lexington
If you're riding from the East, and plan to ride US Rt 30 toward Lexington, consider finishing your trip to Mid-Ohio on Ohio State Route 95. A great alternative to US Rt 30 for the last 50 miles from Wooster, Oh to Lexington, Oh. Watch for cross traffic. Stop at Funk Gen'l Store for a soda and say 'hi' to Linda, and stop at Malibar Farm Inn, an old coach house now operated by the State of Ohio. Coach house was built in the 1820's. Surprisingly, they have an excellent menu prepared by a chef originally from Orange Co, CA. More surprisingly, Bogey and Bacall were married here shortly after WW2. Turn rt at Rt 603 (red circle on map), follow signs for less than 1 mile to the Inn.

Vmd
Bob,
If you're going this year, drop me a pm. I'd love to meet the famous Ohiorider in person and buy you a hot dog or something for your help and advice over the years.

Love to catch up with you at VMD, if I go this year. I'm trying to get in a ride out West sometime in July, which might overlap with the greatest event in motorcycling IMHO.
I'll drop you a pm if I'm in town and riding down.
BTW - the word is 'infamous'!
