About to pull the trigger on Speedmaster

Here is the ad

Quote:
Gorgeous bike in EXCELLENT condition. Garage kept. One owner. Properly broken in. Dealer serviced.
full size pics here: http://gallery.me.com/jivetheuniversal/100076

900cc
8K miles

This thing is PERFECTLY balanced, FAST, and comfortable!
It burns the 883 Sporster, and is about even with the 1200.

Tons of EXTRAS:
pipes (deep, deep, deep)
highway lights
floor boards
extra solo seat w/ p-pad
back rack
saddle bars
old school leather saddle bags
Indiglo analog dash clock
battery charger/tender
cover

This bike looks, sounds, and rides like a dream. You won't be sorry with this thing.

I just had my 3rd son, so i have NO time and NO money to continue with my first love (the bike that is)

I know I am not getting a "steal", but owner is a cool guy, I rode the bike for a little bit, very nice.

Am I safe?

I am going to do a local Triumph Demo day this week, just to confirm that a Speedmaster is what I want..... then commit to this bike....

Demo the Speedmaster, but I think you'll be happy if you're looking for a cruiser. My Speedmaster is my first cruiser (had a couple of standards).

Re: his comments about vs the Harley - if the bike is stock, I wouldn't say "burn" but from what I was told by someone else at a dealer, his buddy's Speedmaster was faster than an 883. The Speedy certainly has a better power to weight and if you research some 1/4 mile times for each, you'll find the Triumph has an edge. Since he has some pipes on it, it's probably been jetted but then again, most Harleys have pipes and jetkits on them too.

Good luck on your decision. Let us know what you end up with.

Smile Lovin It!!!

Once you had a Speedmaster, nothing else will do..... I have ridden nearly everything cruiser out there, and the speedy still comes up trumps on the fun radar. Handling is awesome, supported by the ground clearance it flies around corners and stops on a dime.

I simply love it.. I played with bars, and have ajusted engine and done some performance mods but for the most part its standard looking. I think you will love it.

All the best, good luck out there.

Yeah, I am not too worried about the power, I rode that one, seemed just fine....

Does his pricing look acceptable?
