You guys have given me an idea. It's about time I visited the Solvang Motorcycle Museum out here on the west coast. Not nearly as extensive as Barber's but it'll have to do for now.

Today I changed the rear wheel rim size from 5.5 to 4.25. Fitted the rear wheel back et voila! no more chopper-esque rear end and plenty of clearance for the chain (see post on this subject). I kept the 160/60/17 tyre and it has a much more rounded profile. Looking forward to a test ride tomorrow providing there's no salt on the road which is likely as temperatures are dipping below freezing at night. Whilst the wheel was out I took the opportunity to give the swingarm, rear frame and sump area a good clean.

Lightbulb Relocated my ignition and sighed in dissapointment

Well it may not have been today, more like over the weekend:

I have discovered that my headers got sliced and can't have stock pipes reinstalled in them. So have to get that fixed before I put on the stockers

Relocated my ignition switch to the left side where the two holes are below the tank. Discovered this on this forum and boy do I like it there better.

Also planning out the whole F3 Fork/wheel conversion and slowly getting the parts.

Install my new KonTour seat. Feels very good. Going to give it an all day ride tomorrow to give it a real test.

I put mine into the garage, plugged to tender until the monsoons pass. In the meantime, shopped online for more mods.

Took the Bonneville SE on a 6hr ride to test out my new KonTour seat. LOVED IT ! My first really comfortable seat in 35 years of riding.
