Rode into Center City to drop off a turkey at the WMGK/John DeBella Turkey Drop, helping a local food charity to serve people this Thanksgiving. The thermometer on my handlebars said it was 40 F when I dropped it off, John came over and shook my hand for coming out on a bike, admired my Bonnie, told me he'd had a Royal Enfield back in 1968.

Rode to work today. 36 degrees at 5:30 A.M. Sixty miles of smiles (and some shivers).

Sure was a beautiful day Sparky. I rode later - when it was in the 70s.

Crashed it :(

Actually, it was two days ago, but I've just come off the morphine.

Highsided, straight off the right side on a tightening left hand crest. I have no idea what made the rear let go. in hindsight though, making it bite was probably less than optimal. I had just installed new suspension all round, and was tuning it in.

I haven't seen it yet, other than my views of it as I was crawling off the road. At that point I think I went into shock and the rest is a bit blurry.

My mates' told me that the core is still good, but every bit that pokes out is gone. I have memories of it spinning end for end after me down the road. So I think I'll have some time and fun putting it back together.

Luckily for me, I had everything on, Kevlar jeans, capped boots, armour jacket, gloves, and my poor Shoie. Mt whole right side is bruised, and my scapular (shoulder blade?) is in 4 pieces. Bloody Hell I'm off driving and riding for at least 6 weeks. Other than that, a perfect road test for my leathers.

It comes home this weekend, Hooray!! And I'm getting a bike workshop stand for Xmas. I'll be busy...

Heal up quick, mate. There are more miles to go before you sleep.

God bless you, my friend!

Rode mine just a bit today; high temp down here on the water was a balmy 76F.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

packed up my stock seat, drove across the border, shipped it off to spencer's. Looking forward to going for a long ride to test the results when the weather rights itself...next year. Also - now selling, one scrambler gel seat .
