18T to 19T Front Sprocket Conversion: Before and After Photos

Did the 18T to 19T Front sprocket conversion. Before and after photos.

Before:

and After:

As you can see in the second photo, going from 18 to 19 teeth results in a 5.27% reduction in engine revs at a given speed. Looking more closely, we see that there is also a 5.56% increase in speed at any given set of sprocket RPMs.

Well worth doing.

Hope the camera phone pics were clear enough...

Bought a 03 T 100 last month. First bike in 25+ years. Guy was honest. He said he didn't clean it up to much so buyers could get an accurate idea of the "normal" condition. It wasn't too bad. If you have really messy stuff on the rear wheel, use some brake cleaner and shop rags on chrome spoke wheels. Do a little section at a time or the crap will run all over. Makes her look like new.

Black/White. I've since ditched the white grips for black. Got tired of trying to keep the white ones clean.

Yeah, I've had 'em on exactly one day and they're already gray. This sucks.

I put a Rocket III in the garage beside my Thruxton and Bonnieville. Makes them look like toys........

But they are much prettier.

Just have to take it in stride. Think of it as adding character to the bike, an indication that it is ridden. I'm sporting the same grips. They are comfy though...

I disabled the air injection hose with a wire nut as described in one of the other threads. Took it out for another 20 minute ride and the throttle response is significantly better / smoother. I have a new efi Bonneville se.

Also, got my new seat for the bike. Installed that. My bum is happy! Gel and memory foam are man's glorious inventions! Combine that with leather and wow what a difference!.
