Lights on the new SE
Has anyone noticed if the new 09 model has a better front light. I noticed that the glass is now clear compared to the 08 model.
Thoughts please.
Thanks

I've ridden my 09 SE at night and have had no issues with the light. In fact, I noticed it really lit up my backyard on low beam... I was impressed by the amount of light it threw. I wasn't aware that light intensity was an issue for the Bonnie's, but I don't think it's a problem at all for the 09.

The headlamp on the previous models SUCKS. I noticed a few weeks ago that the new Bonnies had a different lens and reflector assembly. I might buy a set and retro fit them in my existing shell if they work that much better. I have to do something.

Lights
The old ones ya had to swab out the lense inside every so on. They clouded up. Xenon bulbs helped as well! Still couldbe brighter tho!

I supose the easiest way to do it would be to line up an 08 &09 side by side and swithch them on alternatively.
Anyone out there with both or two mates that could do this.
As you know I've only got a couple of weeks to go until I get my sticky little mits on my new bike. I do like riding at night so I hope the lights are pretty decent.

I wouldn't worry too much Rose - your headlamp has to be better than the old versions, it certainly can't be worse. I am definitely getting a new lens and reflector assembly from somewhere. I may just end up getting a cibie unit from daniel stern lighting, or try the set up out of my old CB750.

I have both and the SE lights are far brighter. I run with my high beam on during the day on my 08. But the 09 headlight on high is just too annoying in my mirror when the wife is following, it's much brighter.

I've had this exact same thought. The headlight on my old 750 Nighthawk is vastly superior to the Scrambler. I just haven't located and extra one yet to put on the Triumph.
