Catskills Ride Sunday 5/24 - Come with?

I'm planning on spending the day riding a loop or two through the Catskills area. That would be NY of course.

No firm route or timing but I'm guessing I'll be stopping in New Paltz for a coffee around 10am or thereabouts.

PM me if anyone is interested in meeting up.

Pete

Hey Pete,

I should be around. I will send you a pm - 10 am in NP sounds like it could work for me.

hmmm I might be able to sneak up there on Saturday, although I think the forecast calls for rain. If it's clear out I'll pm you.

I may be able to sneak up there as well... I love that area. I'll know more as the weekend approaches. Do you have a meeting place in NP?

Sounds like we might be putting a ride together. Good news!

97TB - Think Sunday, not Saturday.

Marcsiry - No place in mind in NP, wide open to suggestions. Do you know NP well?

Oh how I miss riding in that area.... did it for 38 years now in SW Florida.

One of my favorites loops from N P was:
32 N to 23A in Palenville
23A W to Hunter
214 S to Phoena
28 W to Big Indian
Olivera Rd S to Curry
55 N to 209 N
209 N to 44/55 E
N P for a cold beer and a bit to eat at the brewery !!

Wish I were there!!! . Please post up some pictures for me...

Hi Speedy,

Apologies for the radio silence. My wife went into labor a week early and now I'm hanging in the hospital with her and our new baby boy.

The downside of that is I won't be sneaking anywhere this weekend... I'll be on baby duty for the next two weeks, until the wife gets back on her feet.

Hopefully you can dodge the rainclouds and get out for a ride this weekend... and I will certainly join you guys for a spin later this summer.

Thanks,

- Marc

The king of understatement!!!!! Congrads, if you get 2 weeks of duty you are lucky. Most of us get 2 decades....

Hey guys I really want to go, but our neighborhood has a memorial day party weve been going to for years...on sunday....

If monday works I'm in, if its Sunday, Im out...or a maybe at best....

Marc

Congradulations to you and your wife... that's a wonderful thing. Post up some pics of the new family member.

Sounds like this may be your 1st child, you'll soon recodize the requirement to be 'on duty' for the next 18 years!!

Good on ya Marc! Best to the wife and new addition too....

And for you - a skills refresher course so Mrs. doesn't make you sell the bike!
