T100 790 to 865

Does anyone know for sure when the T100 became 865cc? I have read in a lot of materials stating that the T100 was 790 until 2006, and many others saying they were always 865.

Thumbs up T-100

If I am not mistaken, the T-100 became an 865 in 05? The std bonne was still 790 @ that time & then in 06 became 865 as well. I still love my 790 tho!!

According to Cycleworlds Buyers guide: 2007 was the change for all Bonnevilles except the Thruxton has always been 865cc.

Very close, the T100 became 865cc in the 2005 model year and the Bonneville became 865cc in the 2007 model year according to this:-

http://www.hermys.com/triumph/bonneville/2007/

Model years are different to calendar years though as any given years model goes on sale from October of the previous year as I understand it. That is, a 2007 model will start selling in October 2006 for example.

Model year in N.America usually starts with August production date on the tag with a VIN(vehicle identity number) for the following year. Some exceptions for new releases with some car makers, they will bring something like the Challenger out in May and call it the following year model.
2002 T100's are 790cc, that's why they are faster.

CAPTDON is right. The T-100's became 865's in 2005.

I knew Cycle World was wrong but man, this is in their buyers guides. I have from 2005 onwards and they don't differentiate the engine changes on the Bonnevilles...... bad research/editing on their part.
