Making my Bonnie mine.

I've my '03 T100 for a few months now and it's time to start making it into what I want in a bike. It's pretty much going to be used for daily commuting, Saturday/Sunday rides, and a weekend get away here and there. Performance mods can wait as I am very new to riding(wife and I got our licenses in October) so the stock '03 has plenty of power to get me where I want to go. My wife rides a Suzuki S40 so it's not like I am going to have any trouble keeping up with her.
I am thinking about going for the look of a delivery/messenger bike with a set of synthetic leather saddle bags and a rear rack to start off with. I'll keep the stock seat as it gives me a bit more room to move around than the Corbin Gunfighter that also came with the bike. Maybe a flyscreen although I have the big Roadster screen.
I don't want to really rat the thing out like a real delivery bike would have been, but I do want to make it into a "working bike".

Any ideas or suggestions?

I think one of the nicest accessories for that is the Rennteck rack at newbonneville. Not too obvious and you can strap on a bag to fit what you need to carry. Think it looks better than saddle bags. Me, I have neither. I just use the what's left of the seat behind me.

Triumph performance USA carry that Renntec rack too, it's very nice and well worth considering. I think you have some good idea there for your bike.

As a suggestion, if you haven't looked into it yet, improving the suspension is relatively inexpensive and does wonders for the comfort and feel of the bike. Ikon or Progressive fork springs, Ikon shocks (and other brands too) all good stuff. I just ordered a pair of lovely Ohlins for my own bike from them in fact.

I run the Renntec rack and a pair of Cordura saddlebags and love the storage for daily commutes. Lunch box on the rack, gloves, glasses and whatever else in the bags. I picked up a Triumph solo seat and really love it. Much more comfortable and plenty of room to slide front & back.
I think you need a "Ped-Slicer" to get the delivery look.

Thumbs up Bonne Mine

++++++1 on the Rennetec!! Best investment I made on mine! A few friends had bags & they are gone now. Just doesnt fit the bike? Just got my chrome chain guard toiday to go w/ the rest of the chrome I did. Id tell ya tio look @ it but I cant find it on albums? It "was posted by Grey Goose under Captdons Bonne Black. Another item I would HIGHLY reccomend is a Signal Minder!! It has saved my life a few times!! A sm price $99 to pay for that!

PS: Let me know if ya find my bike? It got lost here somewhere!

Thumbs up PS Bonne Mkine

I found it!!! It is posted under Grey Plague 1 pic only! I (in the pic) put a "Bar Bag" on her for the basic necesities as well. Takes NO room ,no guage blockage etc.. I found it @ a Honda dealer for $14 & it fit rite on. Waterproof as well & it doesnt look bad either!
Enjoy personalizing your girl!! I have. Had her 5 yrs & still @ it! The next is progressive ft springs. The stockers sucked to begin with, & now after 5 yrs havent improved!!
With the new Bonne's getting so "Un -Bonne", you got a good one you will probably never part with! There is so much you can do to these things . AND Yours is "Made in England"!
Enjoy!!!!

I can tell you right now that my Corbin Gunfighter & Lady seat doesn't fit over the brackets for the Hepco & Becker rear rack. I think this will be easily fixed with some washers as spacers to push the mounting bracket on the seat away from the seat with some longer 10mm bolts so that the bracket can reach the frame where the seat screws in - but it's something to be aware of.

Bike also handles MUCH better for commuting with Hagon progressive shocks and fork springs.

If you have highway travel a dart fly screen will take the wind off your chest.

Oh - I see that you mean to keep the stock seat, well never mind then - but I'll leave that for a just in case - as I suspect the gunfighter (if anything like the one I had on my '73 Tiger) will have the same narrow rear and thus the same issue.

The Hepco & Becker 30lt topbox though quite ugly is incredibly useful for gloves, bag, books, groceries - though it won't take a 3/4 helmet.

I think the single seat plus rack goes a long way to what your looking for ,the racks needs a little modding to take very heavy loads

TRYMPH has it on his bike and looks the part too!

Practical and Personal

I have a handmade chromed sissybar/Rack on mine (styled from a Meridan). Its something no other bike has and it just personalises bike for me.
Continually asked where I got it, as it has a clear Triumph sticker on back and looks genuine.
Have also got a leather rollbag, which straps on rack to carry essentials like wet weather jacket, few tools and clear safety glasses.

Does anyone know if that Renntec rack will fit with a Corbin Gunfighter and lady seat? I was going to buy a Renntec from TPUSA, but I'm not convinced it will fit right. I think Renntec make a good product, so I'm pretty interested in getting one.
