i called up MMC in illinois, and theyve got a Bonneville (base) for $7700 msrp.. its a 2009.. is that good?

That's the listed MSRP for a base Bonnie. If you can find a left-over
'08, you'd be looking at a grand less at least. I paid $7400 for my '08 Thruxton in January '09. $8100 OTD. But if you have the patience to search a little you could easily find a used late model for 2-3 thousand less than the best price on a new one.

ive been calling around trying to find a used one... none of the dealers ive called have any.

Yes, seems to be trend down here as well. I have been trying to find a late model Bonneville reasonably priced, however everyone seems to think they are worth more than what I am willing to pay

Might have goosed myself on a late model with low Klms and TORs that the guy was was willing to part with for around $800 less than MRRP, so all up (with ORC) would be about $2K cheaper than what he paid, but I wanted it still cheaper. He would not budge, so probably back to him eating humble pie and parting with the cash!
