I bought my 2008 Bonneville Black at Munroe Motors in San Francisco. I think all told I paid a little over 8K including set up, taxes and the interest on financing. Had I bought it out right, I assume I could have got it for a little over 7K. Money talks. I wasn't able to get the price down too much, but they did throw in a free shoei RF-1000 and some swag. Not too bad. So far the first two oil changes were free (although #2 was due to warranty covered oil leak...and considering they are triumphs, I would assume you will have one too) maintenance has been minimal.

Right now, you should be able to take advantage of the new 2009 models moving in to get a deal on an 08, as well as the poor weather (dealers are hungrier during the off-season).

I paid $7800 out-the-door for my new T100 in 2003. It was discounted $500.

got my '05 bonnie black (1700 miles on the clock) in '07 off of craigslist for $4500 with ace bars, fork boots, AI removed, upgraded horn, and owned by a mechanic. in great shape.

i wasn't even in the market for a bonnie 'cause i only had $4000-4500 to spend. i was planning on a sv650.

$8300 (msrp) plus set up fee ($500) plus NY sales tax of 8.25% (an outrage) for a 2008 Thrux in April 2008 so almost $9500 otd. The guys in NYC won't negotiate **** unless you finance the bike with them and then they are happy to throw you a helmet and a jacket (which I didn't need) because they make a killing on the financing and most people seem to go that route up here. I didn't want to deal with some bank on the title so I put it on a few credit cards, which pissed them off (cc companies charge merchant fees), but they took it. Definitely could have saved at least $500 by buying it out on eastern Long Island 100 miles away but the dealer in the city is right down the block so at least they know me. I know I also could also have saved thousands by using eBay or Craigslist and buying used but I really wanted it to be all mine. My brother in law got a nearly new 2007 Bonnie for $6k in a private sale but he had to go all the way to North Carolina.

06 thruxton bought new from dealer in july of 08. 7600.00 out the door including 2 helmets, joe rocket meteor ballistic jacket, power trip gloves and xl magnetic tank bag. accessories totalled 700.00+ so i basically got the bike for 6900.00. the fact that they had a left-over 06 seems like a real anomaly.

You guys in the states are getting some hot bargains @$8000, over here in UK a T100 is £6000 on the road, thats like $9000 [was $12000 a while back when 2 dollars = 1 pound. A standard Bonny is about £5,500.
