Talking Tires

Howdy ya'll. I would like to get opinions on tires. I have the 1996 1200. Currently she has a Michelin pilot road on the back, and a Bridgestone battlax on the front. I know but she came that way. My buddy has a Sprint with Continental road attack, but his back tire wore flat in the center. I really appreciate all responses.

Thanks
Johnny

I have put 5k miles on a set of Avon Storms. I really like how they feel. I am not to used to what kind of mileage to expect on the Trophy either. This is the first set I have put on it. The way they look right now, I think I'll be happy with the mileage when they get to the wear bars!

I have Pirelli Diablo Stradas on mine. They're great. Good grip, even in the rain. They have about 6000 miles on them, and the front has plenty left, the rear maybe 2000 miles. And they've been wearing very evenly even though most of my riding is around town or on freeways.

I did 17K on the last set of ME880's. Ran 39psi front and 41 rear. The new owner of the bike got another 1.5K out of them before getting new bridgestones...those won't last long

Avon Storms - second pair - about 13,000 km's on the rear not sure what the front was but it was due. I'm very happy with the handling and rain behaviour.

on the subject of tyre mileage i only use the trophy 2 up and fully loaded with tent, clothes etc....

my supermaxx is half way to the marker and square are 3k miles....

i'm assuming it's due to the weight?
