Got the bike back today, new o rings, adjusted floats, sync carbs and new plugs. They also discovered water in the gas, the drain pipe was plugged. Huge improvement in proformance, starts better, got about another 75km from a tank of fuel.
The dealer I bought the bike from last fall came good for it all, Atlantic Motoplex in Moncton, they are a BMW, Ducati, Yamaha dealer, but as luck would have it, they recently hired a service tech that was a former Triumph tech, not only that but he did all the service work on my bike for the previous owner so he filled me in on the history of the bike, he said it was cared for but sat for months at a time, it's a '99 and only had 27000km on it when he traded it.
Had a nice ride home, used roads that are off the beaten path, bike is awesome.
Note, instead of ordering o rings from Triumph, which could have taken a couple of weeks, he knew that GSXR o rings were the same, got them in 2 days.
