900 for me More character,good mpg. Have ridden a 12,but prefered the 9. Comparison to a tractor unfair. At tick-over yes,but when on the move............ :-)

My jap bike friends call my 900 a diesel. Yeah, it rattles but from 5,000-9,000 rpm it has a beautiful howl, especially if you take the little mufflers out of the air boxes.

it's made it leicester.... says it all....

anyway, it's a shame it does sound so tractor like at idle, it looks like it would sound a lot better.... saving for them new cans should help detract from the sound....it's also a mile better that a pan!
