Welcome nurse,

My 02' has 8100 or so miles on the clock. I have switched to Golden Spectro. Spectro makes oil for BMW. I have used this 20w50 for a long time in other machines.
When I switched my 99 Buell cyclone over, it really helped the motor qiuet down. The rear cylinder tends to over heat when it's hot outside and your stuck in town.
The Triumph (Mobil) oil is way too expensive here. $50 U.S. with tax.
I use K&N filters, It doesn't take much research to figure out that cheap oil and cheap filters are for cheap bikes.

Hope this helps.

The bike calls for full synthetic oil.The Triumph Mobil oil is way too expensive.Amsoil 20W/50 Severe Racing Formula is what I've been using for the last several years.High quality and easier on the pocketbook.Don't know if Amsoil is available in merry old England or not.

Hey Nurse, welcome. I use Silkolene 15w-50 synthetic in my bike. It's less expensive than the Mobil.
