Does anyone here run one, and if so how did you mount the antenna? I just scrapped my first idea,

got any ideas?

Brian, I don't have an antenna on my bike, but I have an idea. I was thinking about Harleys and how they have them mounted on the lid of their top-box. It takes up some space in the box though.

I'm using a Cobra handheld CB/weather radio that I found through Sierra electronics about about 4 years ago, together with the helmet mounted mic and headset. The CB mounts on an adapter plate that fastens to the clutch reservoir on the left handlebar. There is a harness that enables you to use a Push To Talk (PTT) switch attached to the left handlebar via a velcro tab. For power, I installed an accessory outlet in the right fairing liner and use the bike's internal battery to power the radio. Using the "rubber duck" antenna mounted on the CB, I've probably got a mile or better range with it, very nice when riding with my wife on her Goldwing or with other friends. Thanks for the info. I have run one of those type radio's for a few years myself. Finally upgraded a couple of years ago to the J&M 2003 cb radio. Very small and compact. Mounts neatly on left side of bars. The antenna was easy to put on my last bike, I just hate to throw off the lines of the Trophy with an antenna! I want it to be adjustable for running in close when not using the trunk and then clear it when it is mounted. Haven't got it figured out yet. Thanks.

How about using one of those thru-the-glass antennas?

I'd consider mounting it in a lower corner of the windshield - it sure will eff-up the lines of the bike.
