Smile New Trophy Under Development!!!!!

MOTORCYCLE NEWS, FEBRUARY 6TH

The Mole section :
'This is the one many Triumph fans have been waiting for, and I can
confirm that there's definitely a new Trophy tourer under development
in Hinkley. Based around a completely new three cylinder engine, which
is also likely to replace the ageing 1050cc triple in Triumph's other
big bikes, the new Trophy is a SHAFT-DRIVE machine'

Havn't I heard this sometime before???? Must be deja' vu. I'll believe it when I see it on the showroom floor.

How many times can we count the rumor?!?!?!? If it comes to pass, I'll be one of the first to check it out when it hits this market.

Thumbs up think Trophy!

Well after the constant nagging concerning the Trophy, and news that Triumph will bring out new models, I would start saving!
I plan to do the factory tour again this year and when it comes to the questions and answers section, I promise to again pester them with questions about the Trophy and will report here anything I hear.
Let's just say last time I put the question to him, he did not brush me aside but hinted they were thinking about it. The only shaft driven bike in the range at the moment is the Rocket so adding another bike with a shaft sounds about right to me...... and if it carries the Trophy name, all the better!!

If it's true, let's hope that they keep in mind that all of us don't have legs like a giraffe!! A saddle height for us with 29" inseams, give or take an inch, would be wonderful! With that in mind, maybe they might make it with an adjustable saddle and footpegs as well. .........................."Dreamin' I'm always dreamin'..." (Johnny Tillitson): Jim

Question Touring

I'm scheduled to tour the plant in September. The couple we are going with are from Bath. I'll make a point to bring this one up? Trophy or no Trophy?

I'm with you on that Jim! My short legs cancels out many bikes for me including the Tiger

Yeah Joe, all we can do is keep pestering them concerning the Trophy and ask them to place the new design at the top of their list!
