Best Windscreen for a late Trophy
Has anybody got any recommendations for a windscreen for a late Trophy (11 hole type)? I have a 12" Clearview screen and it seems better than the standard full size Triumph screen.

I have just converted over to this and I am a little disapointed by it. Quite noisey and a bit of buffeting. I would like to be able to sit at 100mph in piece and comfort.

Thanks,

I don't think you're going to get total peace and quiet on the Trophy or any other sport touring bike, especially at 100 MPH. I you sure yours is 12"? Stock is 18". Clearview does make a 25.5 inch screen that is 4 inches taller than stock.

I put a 24" Clearview on my wife's Trophy 1200 and like it pretty good when I ride it. In fact I rode it to work this morning. I'm used to riding my Rocket with just a fly screen on though. She actually loves it. It's alot better than stock, but some wind does get around it and I do get some buffeting. She's a little shorter in the torso and fits right in without having to duck in too much. It also has the 5 position adjustable vent which works pretty good.

I put on the Clearview last summer and it improved the ride tremendously. It's 2" over stock and has the adjustable vent in the center of the screen. By opening the vent 1 or 2 clicks, it reduces the back pressure behind the screen and creates an airflow up the backside of it, making the ride much more comfortable. And, on a hot day, you can open it fully to get some air on yourself.========================================= =============Just the wisdom of the "village idiot" at it again: Jim

I have the Clear view 12" sports screen. Yes there is wind in your face, but there is much less buffeting. I`we tried the bike in high speed, around 180 to 200 km/h and at those speeds there are much wind in your face, but in normal use, the screen is great. I guess I cant get the bike free of airstream without looking like an old scooter. I really dont like the taller than stock screens even if they might protect my head from buffeting. Luckily we all have different taste.

Visual screens in New Zealand do a low profile screen for the Trophy, I have one fitted, makes the bike look better IMHO. Good folks to deal with as well!

Look for the low profile one, also a **** sight cheaper than 'Clearview Screens'.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of these products?

http://www.bikescreen.com/

I have seen some negative posts around, just wondering if anyone here had actually tried them? The small "Sport" screen sounds attractive, and at $99 might be worth the risk.

I had a short one on my last bike, and loved it. It is just a little aggravating to install. You have to drill the holes to mount it, makes for a perfect fit, just time consuming to get it right! You don't want to mess up. Great product as far as I could tell.
