Triumph 1200 Streetfighter

I am in the process of building up my Streetfighter.

Has anybody out there managed to get a 1200 T3 jetted close without the airbox? I know it is not recommended, but I need to get it up and running before the smoothbores go on?

I am sure I once read that it needs around 155 main jets and the needles lifted a fair bit? Any help outhere?

Thanks,

I replied to your PM, but I'll try to check my bike in the next few days and see what's actually in there - jet wise. I just can't remember. It's cold and the garage isn't heated, so not a lot of fun to strip the bike right now. Should be able to let you know by the end of the weekend though.

Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Blow.

Cool cams

Hi,would you be interested in a pair of 124HP cams for your street fighter?. I fitted them to my 1200 trophy , but did not like the resultant power delivery. It went like the clappers over 4thou ,but it lost some of its low down torque. My e mail is( neilin@nlmb.freeserve.co.uk ) if you are interested.

Thanks for the offer Greybeard, but my Streetfighter has a gasflowed and blueprinted Daytona engine. I am just trying to get it up and running with open standard carbs at the moment, but once I am happy I have 39mm FCRs that should take it over the 150rwhp mark.

Just out of interest, I also have a Daytona engined Trophy that is putting out 125rwhp. Details on My Bikes (link below).
