Hi, group .........
My Trophy dealer (on the SouthWest side of Milwaukee) has an unsold '03 1200 that I'm pining for . He sez he's gotta get $10.4 for it . What he wants, and what he can get, are matters worthy of consideration, eh what ? ! ! Especially when the general economy isn't exactly 'vibrant' .
I'm presently mounted on a '96 Adventurer with about 20 kliks on the clock . Nice machine. I like it. Great setup for non-pavement roads (here in the U.P. of Michigan they're a fact of life), and I love it .
I'll keep my adventurer . She's my bud .
Back to the topic ....... what's a reasonable price to pay for that Trophy that needs my love and attention ? ! !

I brought an 03 reg one year old Demo model 2k on the clock in Mar this year for just under £6000 which is about $11000 US Over here they dont meet all the latest Emision specs thats why they all had to be registered before sale and sold as one owners
Everything of that capacity seems to have injection now to meet the new regs not sure if this is exactly right perhaps someone else can throw some light if this is the case it could be a bargaining point if they are trying to sell as new and unreged

Wave $8000 in cash under his nose and see what he does. It is, after all, an '03. Put a couple of eBay Trophys on watch and see what they close at, that should give you a good idea on how much they're worth.

Good luck, I hope you get it.

I paid $10,500 for my '02 in '02. It was a demo, with close to 1000 miles on it. It included the topbox. I would think you should be able to get an '03 leftover for considerably less. I'm sure it's been sitting for a long time. Trophys were never big sellers next to the Sprints and other models.

Just saw your question. I looked in kbb.com (Kelly Blue Book), Motorcycles, Used, Buy, and entered my zip code. It came up with $8580 for an excellant condition used model. If you haven't already bought, I would recomend you do the same for your area. It will give you a reasonable starting point for a left over 03 model. Motorcycle dealers are in business to make money and a 2 year old model sitting on the floor isn't making any, but he doesn't want to lose too much either. My guess is the $10.4K will be a break even point for him.
