Hi I have a 2001 Trophy bought new and now has 8000 miles. The coils went out and were replaced under warranty. If this a recurring problem. Hope not. Love the bike. I also replaced the front tire with a new Metzler ME3 and developed a bad front end wobble at low speed. What has caused this? Is the tire bad, is it not balanced right? Any suggestions would help. Thanks

Might be something in the previous posts on wheels and tires. See 2004/08/03 and 2004/03/20 and 2003/12/08 and 2003/10/09 for posts on the issue. :???:

Check the steering head bearings for proper adjustment, this is the most common cause for this issue.

Larry,
Did the wobble develop shortly after replacing the tire? I'd check air pressure first, inspect the tire for defects, confirm all fasteners are tight, and check alignment.

Laurence,

If the wobble only comes in at a certain speed and you can drive through it, then the culprit is probably an out of balance wheel.

But it is a process of elimination, check all of the things mentioned above.
