Trophy Top Box

I am hunting for a top box for my 02 1200 trophy. I would prefer to find one in sun-set red, but understand I may have to have it painted. I was also told that the old sprint top box is same as trophy. Is this true? Your help is appreciated.

Still in market for Top Box. Why is it so hard to find these things? Does anyone know who made the Hard Luggage for Triumph in 2002 (or before)?

Would like to see pics of other Trophy's with alternatives to factory Top Box. (Givi, Shad...etc)

Your help is appreciated.

Here is a link to mine with the Givi mounted when I first got the bike. I just ran across a color matched factory trunk and snatched it up! Givi is probably better quality, but I knew if I had it painted it wouldn't match perfect probably. If you think you might have to paint, then go on and get the Givi.

Edit to add: Check out Murph's Shad trunks also. They come with mounting plate, and a pretty good price for the money!

I have a Kappa (Givi) loads better quality than Triumphs offering and 100% waterproof, it's black, so what! I couldn't justify the price of the Triumph box, plus there have been issues of cracking with them;o(

What Givi model did you have? What mounting plate? I called Givi and they said they don't have anything that will fit my bike. I could not believe. I do have the Triumph luggage rack. I thought all these aftermarket boxes just mounted to about any "flat" rack?

Model is the E52 with a E128 mounting kit. It came off the concours, but went on the trophy rack easily. Just got 2 strips of material, marked and drilled the holes and put them under the rack. Ran the bolts through the bottom part of the mounting rack, and used lock nuts to hold it to the rack. Then the key is all you need to install and remove the trunk, leaving nothing but the mounting plate. Worked great, I just thought the factory trunk looked better. This picture shows just the plate:

Topper!

I went with the large generic box from JC Whitney. It looks like a Givi and has the adaptor plate to fit almost anything. Bolted right up to my factory luggage rack. Only downer is it had an oval "Baron Cross" recessed into the top of the lid . The oval "Triumph" decal fit over it perfectly!!! In total I payed a little over 100 dollars for it all with shipping!
